One of my favorite places in wine country is Coombsville. A lesser known AVA, the feeling is idyllic with rolling hills, vineyards and a somewhat untouched nature. It reminds me of a life as a kid growing up on a farm. The wines coming out of this area are remarkable and this cab is a great example. With a black red coloring the taste of black currents is very prominent with a hint of soft cedar and a lush, elegant finish. I felt a little under-dressed for this wine today but no judging here. Enjoy!
